Privacy policy

Your alarms stay with you. We only know your email and whether your subscription is active, and we never look at what you do in your browser.

Last updated October 23, 2026Applies to the ClicAlarm extension and this site

The short version. Alarms and settings live in your Chrome. We receive your Google email and account ID to run your trial and subscription, Stripe handles payments, and there is no tracking of any kind.

1. Who is responsible

ClicAlarm is a Chrome extension made by ClicAuto. The company responsible for your data is:

  • The U-Shaped House LLC, a limited liability company formed in the State of Delaware, United States, trading as ClicAuto
  • 1925 Grand Ave Ste 129 PMB 83841, Billings, MT 59102, United States
  • Email: contact@clicauto.com

This policy covers the ClicAlarm extension and this website, clicalarm.clicauto.com. The main site clicauto.com has its own privacy policy.

2. What stays on your device

Your alarms, quiet hours and settings are saved in Chrome. If you use Chrome sync, Google syncs them between your own browsers. We never receive them.

Custom sounds you add stay on the computer where you added them. They are never uploaded.

3. What we receive, and why

  • Your Google account email and account ID, when you sign in. We use them to start your free trial, link it to you and manage your subscription.
  • Your trial and subscription status: start date, end date, active or not. This decides whether your alarms keep working.
  • Payment details are handled by Stripe, not by us. We only receive a customer ID and the status of your subscription. We never see your card number.
  • Your confirmation when you subscribe that your subscription starts right away (see our terms), with its date and time.
  • An anonymous install signal the first time you open ClicAlarm: the extension version and your browser language, nothing else. No IP address is stored and no identifier is attached. You can turn it off in Settings.
  • Newsletter, only if you opt in. The box is unticked by default. If you tick it, we email you when ClicAuto launches a new tool. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.

4. Legal basis

We use your email, account ID and subscription status to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract). We keep billing records because the law requires it (legal obligation). The newsletter and the install signal rely on your consent and our legitimate interest in knowing how many people install ClicAlarm; you can switch either off at any time.

5. What we never collect

Your browsing history, the pages you visit, the content of your tabs, your contacts or your location. ClicAlarm has no access to websites at all. There are no ads, no trackers and no analytics in the extension or on this website.

6. Who processes your data

  • Our servers and backups: Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany and Finland (European Union).
  • Emails: Resend, sending from Ireland (European Union).
  • Payments: Stripe.
  • Sign-in: Google.

We don't sell your data, we don't share it for advertising and we don't use it to train AI models. Stripe and Google may process data in the United States; they do so under their own safeguards for international transfers.

7. Google user data

ClicAlarm's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only request your basic profile (email and account ID) to run your account and subscription.

8. How long we keep it

Your account data is kept while you use ClicAlarm. If you delete your account, we erase it within 30 days, except billing records we must keep by law, which we and Stripe keep for the period the law requires. Server backups are overwritten within 12 months.

9. Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it, at any time: email contact@clicauto.com. We answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

10. Children

ClicAlarm is not meant for children under 16.

11. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we update the date at the top of this page and tell subscribers by email.
